Jegind Tap - Thyholm
Jegind Tap is a long narrow point on the southern tip of Jegindø. A public road leads to the point that has remained a favourite picnic area for many years because of the excellent beaches and the unique scenery.
Towards the far tip of the one kilomer long point, the fjord continually deposits large amount of sand. Here you find the typical dune vegetation with lyme grass and helmet. The near part of Jegind Tap is a more rugged terrain formed by numerous deposits af sand, gravel and stones. The flora here is typical of dry bed vegetation and includes sheep's bit, thyme, bedstraw and sea pink.
