Fur is the perfect spot for a bike holiday with it's 22 km2. You will get around easy on a bike through the beautiful nature and you don't even have to bring your own bike. At Fursund Tourist Information you can rent bikes and explore the island - and maybe even take the ferry and explore the rest of the Skive Region.

The ferry to Fur sails from Branden in Salling - the crossing only takes 4 minutes and sails every 15 minutes during the day. In spirng and fall there are whole months with ferry rides free of charge.

Do you want to be a geologist for a day? At Fur you can go fossil hunting in the island's unique clay. You can find fossils from many different animals and plants. Both amateur collectors and professional paleontologists visit Fur to find outstanding fossils and many findings are so good that they are on display at the Fur Museum. Go hunting on your own or join in when the Fur Museum organizes fossil hunting for children, adults and grandparents every summer.

Accommodation on the island Fur

Fur has accommodation for everyone - Fur Camping is placed in a scenic area with an amazing view. The tourist office on the harbor is responsible for the rental of most of the island's holiday homes. Accommodation is also available at one of the island's B&B or Fur Færgekro (Inn).
